Editor extensions that are agents

Cline, Roo Code, Continue, Kilo Code, Augment and the like run inside VS Code and Cursor. ZYBE treats them as AI tools in their own right.

What they are

An editor extension that talks to a model and can act on the machine is an AI tool, even though it's installed inside VS Code or Cursor. ZYBE lists each one as its own agent, with its own state and its own rules.

What ZYBE can do

Extension What ZYBE can do
Cline, Roo Code Block their MCP calls. Both act through MCP servers, which run through ZYBE like Claude Desktop's.
Continue, Kilo Code, Augment See that they're installed. They give ZYBE no way to check their actions.

On top of that, the VS Code policy decides whether any of them may be installed at all. See Control what VS Code can install.

What you do

Install the sensor, restart the editor. For Cline and Roo Code, ZYBE rewrites their MCP server lists, same as Claude Desktop.

Check it's working

Open the laptop from Inventory, Endpoints, click Sensor. Each extension that's an agent has its own row.

Local models

An extension or tool pointed at a model running on the laptop, through Ollama or a Hugging Face server, is still an AI tool, and is checked the same way. The model itself is in the Inventory under Models. A model server reachable from the network raises the issue Local model server reachable from the network.
